Private Angelo, by Eric Linklater

Private Angelo, by Eric Linklater

Private Angelo is a satirical novel about the misadventures of an Italian soldier during World War II.

Young and innocent, Angelo tries to survive and maintain his cheerfulness after he is unwillingly drafted into the Italian army.

Written with humour, insight, and sympathy, Private Angelo is a wittily satirical comment on the grossness and waste of war.
