Paul Strand (1890-1976) and Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) both travelled to Mexico during the same period in the early 1930s. In 1935 their paths crossed in New York when they joined the political filmmaking group Nykino (which later became Frontier Films).

Paul Strand was an American artist who made significant contributions to the canon of 20th-century photography.

Strand said. “The photograph is his vision of the world and expresses, however subtly, his values and convictions.”

Henri Cartier-Bresson, a filmmaker and co-creator of the photo agency Magnum, established photojournalism as an art form.

The print quality of the book is very good, the paper is very beautiful.
