Teach Yourself Cricket is one of many sporting books written by Norman Creek, a former amateur footballer. He also wrote volumes on Soccer, Rugby, Tennis, Hockey and Athletics for the ‘Teach Yourself’ books series.
Frederick Norman Smith Creek (1898 – 1980) was born in Darlington, County Durham and spent 30 years as a schoolteacher in Wiltshire, teaching ‘Games’ and Geography. During which time he played cricket for Wiltshire and was a cricket writer for the Daily Telegraph.
