This book, first published in 1949, contains a collection of essays by the English writer, critic and poet, R. L. Mégroz.
Rodolphe Louis Mégroz (1891 – 1968) was born in London, with a French father and an English mother. In the First World War he served with the British Army at Gallipoli.
Mégroz wrote numerous books of literary criticism and biography and edited many anthologies of verse and letters, as well as writing numerous poems, book reviews, essays and articles for journals.
